Hey all, i got 2 simple idea's about dueling in guildwars

1. i would like to know if they could put a arena in the pvp map, or a selection when pressing guild battle in guildhall to do one on ones, most scrimmages held in guildhall are 1 v 1, but i also want to fight players from other guilds.. i know it might be exploited by 55hp's and stuff like that, but just a arena where you can battle in like gladiators or something for balthazar faction points.

2. a PvE arena where it would be either... players or groups of players killing monsters that enter the arena... to see how long they can survive, or getting to a certain point where you win the arena...

just idea's if you like them, just leave a comment about it, if you dont like them, just say so, but dont need violence or insults

Well 1v1 is always put down as being a bad idea as GW is a team game. Its just not suited to 1v1, it becomes which builds counters the other rather than who is the better player.

As for the pve thing...isnt that kind exactly what pve is at the moment? A group of players slaughtering stuff until you die or they are all dead?

I like idea 2 as i love sieges and being locked in an arena filling with foes sounds fun

However point 1 . . .
Warrion Enters Battle and sees opponant and 1 of two things happens
Sees it's a Sin and kills it
Sees its a necro and leaves battle

Isn't there another thread about dueling and 1v1 on page 1 of the Sanitarium already? Between this one, and that one, and the countless others that I'm sure have been made, the general consensus is that GW isn't designed for 1v1. The siege idea has been tossed around quite a bit too. While I find it personally appealing, it would take a lot of work to implement, and if you want something very similar just go to a challenge mission. Zos Shrivos Channel, for example, is essentially a siege using jade sea foes, kind of fun imo. So for the record....

sorry, GW just isn't designed to work like this. You want 1v1, find a like minded guildie and scrimmage away.

A 2v2 could maybe work.
One person support, one dps.
or both dps. 2v2 is a little more possible then 1v1.

Good god, this idea has been brought up before and has been shot down plenty of times. Heck, another thread about this is was posted YESTERDAY and is on the same page still (here... http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10177166 . PLEASE read forum rules and use search instead of repeating existing ideas.

Forum search is broken for quite a long time still. Don't tell people to use it. Even a search for auction house gives 0 results.
